World History A
World History is a study of the development of the modern world from the late 18th Century to the present. Students are introduced to cultural, economic, political and social developments that played a fundamental role in shaping the world in which they now live. This course starts with the origins of democratic thought then moves through a number critical time periods and events. Some of these time periods and events are on the following: Industrial Revolution, Democratic Revolutions, Imperialism, Colonialism, Nationalism, Totalitarianism, and World War I and II. During this course students will consider multiple accounts of events in order to understand international relations from a variety of perspectives.
