Environmental Science A (with Honors Extensions)
Environmental Science is a course that focuses
on Earth’s environment, including the Earth’s atmosphere, biogeochemical
cycles, life forms, biomes, and genetic makeup.
Of particular interest is the effect humans have had on the planet and
its atmosphere, particularly post-Industrial Revolution. Students will use scientific texts and
articles, graphs, tables, and critical thinking to examine patterns of climate
change. Providing rich media in multiple
formats to ease of use and to address diverse student needs, this course
reflects a bias-free and multi-culturally sensitive environment..
