AP Biology B
AP Biology is an
introductory college-level biology course. Students cultivate their
understanding of biology through inquiry-based investigations as they explore
topics like evolution, energetics, information storage and transfer, and system
interactions. It is divided into eight main units: chemistry of life, cell
structure and function, cellular energetics, cell communication and the cell
cycle, heredity, gene expression and regulation, natural selection, and ecology.
Students prepare throughout the year to take the AP exam in May and earn
college credit along with also preparing themselves for college.
